What If?

  • by

What if we let down our walls?
Let the dark and light shine in?
Made no judgment of bad or good,
Of virtue or of sin.

What if we removed our armor,
And embraced our fellow man?
Wore his shoes for a mile or two
Opened our hearts again

What if we filled in the moat,
Or built a bridge instead?
Or threw ourselves in head first
And basked in sweet suspense

What if we knew we were nothing,
And everything all at once
Realized our true magnificence
Realized that we’re gods
