Today’s prompt was to write a gift. It was supposed to be tailor-made for someone, but it’s more for everyone. And here’s my “cherry blossom” daily drawing.
box wrapped in pretty paper
iridescent rainbows
ribbons all the colors of visible light
are you a slow unwrapper?
or the rip-tear type?
either way, soon you’ll see
glowing golden light
you’ll feel a warmth that slowly burns
from pinky toe to strands of hair
slowly a smile spreads across your face
hand clasps to heart
“thank you. you are so generous to
give me this”
“you’re welcome. I made it myself.
my love for you.”
