Today’s prompt was to write poems throughout the day. Each poem would be no more than six lines. Below are my poems, along with my “evil” daily drawing.
I don’t care if I never wear a gown again
nor high heels click-clacking across the floor
give me overalls and callouses on my hands
paint in my hair as a hat
boundaries are a good thing
clarity too
I know you might not like them
when they don’t overlap with what you know,
what you want, what you need
but I won’t shove myself into a box again
that you can push around your room again
too much to do
so little time
one foot in front of another
slow down, pace yourself
life happens
one breath at a time
