The blog hit 10,000 views today!
I had 10 students come to get extra help with A.P. Biology during lunch today.
Another teacher sent over 10 ginormous hot plates and some test tubes to me from her classroom.
The Chair of my department brought us donuts and coffee during our professional learning community time.
Most of my students did well on their test.
My new running shoes arrived. I hope they help me overcome my injury, so I can get back on the road!
Yes, I’m tired. Yes, I’m overwhelmed. Yes, I’m trying to find balance in the midst of all of the things that need to be done. I have a cold, and to top it off I didn’t get my pay check today.
With all of that, I feel good this evening. The work I’m doing feels important. It feels like I’m making a difference every day when I go to work.
I fell off of doing my gratitude jar. I haven’t put an entry in it in months. Now is the time, more than ever, I need to keep track of my blessings. They can get lost in the busy-ness. They can be ground away by the daily grind.
So here is my little piece of gratitude in the midst of the madness. Here is my anchor in the middle of the maelstrom.
As the semester progresses, I hope I can keep coming back here.
I also hope I get better at grading in the classroom!!
Things might be a little crazy right now, but all in all, all is well…
