The Prompt
Today’s prompt was to write about something that requires slow, steady attention.
The Poem
they want us afraid,
you know
tied to jobs where we punch
a clock
so we can
eat
have a roof over our heads
do more than survive
letting go of the fear has been
an adventure
a journey through
bramble
self-doubt
forked paths
confusion
releasing what never did serve has been an expedition past
greed
haters
skeptics
misunderstanding
and for some reason
it’s had to happen this way
slow
unsteady
but onward
Processing
This one is a bit hard to admit. I’ve had entrepreneurship on my mind for a long time. And it’s been what the poem says. I currently make very sporadic money from my offerings. And I’ve been at it, even if part-time, for a long time. I hope to turn this into something sustainable. I hope to figure out the equation to do so. And I keep moving onward on the journey.
