Walking the Walk
Nearly a month ago the shootings in Parkland, FL happened. Two days after that a shooting took place very close to the school I work at, close enough to warrant a Lock Down. Since then, I’ve been feeling very anxious.

A few years ago in a galaxy … well, in this galaxy to be honest … productivity would have exclusively meant analyzing data, writing a publication, grading papers, or doing something else school/work related.
Nowadays, productivity can still look a little like that. I definitely work on lesson plans in the evening at least a few nights a week.
This weekend, I was productive, but it looked a little different.

I’ve been fairly anxious since election day. Moreso since Inauguration Day. There is so much going on that is so big. Though I keep writing my representatives, my optimism takes effort to sustain.
