Day 7 Creations:
Day 7’s Bad Poetry prompt was: to-do list, schedule, itinerary, planner page, or agenda style. I wrote this after attending a Poets for Palestine event, that was incredibly powerful…

It reads: (there’s an empty checkbox in front of each)
To Do:
-unlearn 500 years of colonial/settler/imperialistic culture
-use your white privilege for good
-breathe
-drink water
-speak out with those who can’t alone
-exercise
-eat healthy
-play with cats
-make bread
-grow your own food
-fight fascism
-keep an open heart
-share seeds
-ride bikes
-nap
-walk on grass barefoot
-put your hands in soil
-bask in the sun’s rays
-feel the wind caress your skin
-listen to the birds sing
-make art

I do love a good pun. Though I did miss an opportunity to work that watermelon into the theme of the drawing… Next time…
