Creations-a-Day: 02/17

Day 17 Creations:

Cats are hard to draw! My youngest cat, Trinity Brew, was my model for this one. She jumped up on my sketchbook, blocking me from drawing. So I used her as inspiration instead. Kindness = neck scritches!

Today’s Bad Poet prompt was to free write, since the facilitator was unable to post the prompt earlier in the day. I decided to match the prompt with my drawing-a-day prompt.

I shared an offering
with the world today
But no one came

I pretended I didn’t care
Practiced the teachings anyway
Glum I didn’t press “record”

Since then I’ve napped
and played with cats
A kindness to myself

I’ve created art
and napped some more
letting myself feel

I’ve let the questions
and planning set still
For another day

I’ve read books that fill me
with joy and hope
a kindness to myself

That helps me keep sharing
my offerings with the world

Processing a bit of disappointment with no one showing up for my 3rd Saturday virtual yoga practice. The business side of Living Daringly is a challenge. How to get my offerings out to the world? How to meet the folks my offerings are meant to connect with? I’ll keep working to figure things out, while showing myself grace and kindness along the way. Thank you for joining me on the journey!!

How do these connect with you?
