Day 12-100 Day Challenge

Today friends planned a beach day at Fort DeSoto. I decided to ride my bike down there. (I didn’t wear the dress this time.)

Going down the ride was easy. They redid a bridge that I hadn’t ridden until today. It’s steeper than the old one, but you are separated from cars by concrete. On the old one you used to have to take the center of the road lane and ride like hell. I did use my granny gear to get up and over the new bridge, but I’ve ridden steeper and longer hills.

It was nice visiting with the folks that came. There was conversation, bird identification, snacks. It was windy, which also kept the sun from beating down. I remember yawning early on. I’d even been considering not going at all, because I just felt tired. I think the fatigue was making it hard for me to feel connected with the others there. Plus, I generally feel more connected with folks in smaller settings anyway… But I stayed for a few hours and then started the ride back home. A headwind kept me company from the north, which was nearly half my trip. I made it back and took a long nap.

I don’t think that 55 mi/h max speed is right.

After my nap I took a much needed shower. I was stinky! Then the Wool& dress went on.

I’m still feeling tired, so I haven’t really been doing much. Just puttering. I’ll be going to bed early tonight.

I might watch a movie and play with a new tarot deck I recently got.

Wishing everyone love, joy, and the rest you need to feel your whole self.
