Day 2-100 Day Challenge

The Wool& 100 day dress challenge is going to be a breeze for me. (Quote me on this if I’m complaining in a few weeks!!) I work from home, and I’m used to wearing clothes multiple days in a row. Even more so since I haven’t been riding my bike as much as I said I would commit to (which means I don’t get so stinky). Grabbing the dress and putting it on, again, today felt natural and fine. It was a little cool out this morning, so I also put on a Smartwool pullover I bought from REI to use as a layer while cycling, or other whatever else, when it’s cool out.

I found myself “hiding” during my Zoom meetings. Guess I’m still a little self conscious with the buzz cut. Not all of my colleagues have seen it yet, and I guess I don’t want the exclamations and explanations. I did “unhide” with one of my colleagues that I thought would be supportive and she was.

The temperature warmed up here in St. Pete, Florida. I ventured around the yard a couple of times and made some new friends.

A feral cat that I haven’t seen in a few days also paid me a visit. He has a nasty looking wound on his head. Aside from seeing him scratching at it, didn’t seem like it bothered him much. I fed him and called animal services for a recommendation on what to do. They said catch him and bring him to their shelter. He shied away from getting in a carrier, or a carrier even being near him. He did let me get close enough that I got a dab of antibiotic ointment on him. A dab was enough that he didn’t want to hang around anymore. Not sure if it will help. The wound doesn’t seem life threatening, but that could depend on him fighting infection. I’m rooting for him, and if he comes back I’ll try again to help him as best I can. (No pics because the wound was pretty gross.)

Temperatures warmed through the day so the pullover came off. We also got some rain today, which was nice to hear through my open back door.

I’ve realized I don’t like the way my neutral face looks when I take these selfies. Maybe my challenge over the next couple of days will just be to take the picture without thinking about it too much.
