Keep St. Pete Lit puts out prompts for Flash Fiction Fridays. This week’s challenge was to write a complete story in 65 words or less using the words: loud, leaving, luck and lewd. Here’s my attempt, at 43 words.
He’d fooled some. But to those who’d seen behind the scenes he was a lewd bully. He didn’t speak loudly, but his barbed words made you feel like he had. He was leaving a legacy alright. Luck whispered, “It could have been worse.”
