The Fight

  • by

The battle starts at nothing,
for nothing.

Your words are deflected
By my efficient shield
As daggers and swords
Stream from my mouth,
Finding weakness in every chink
Of your impenetrable armor.

My cruelty amazes even me
As I watch the battle ensue
From the corner of my mind.

I try to stop myself
From inflicting the final blow,
But it is too late.

A tear rolls slowly down your cheek.
