St. Pete’s Central Avenue Solstice celebrates the rising and setting of the sun along Central Avenue. (Nevermind that this astrological coincidence actually occurs on the equinox.) It consists of stores opening early, music playing along the avenue, painting the Nomad Art Bus, and more.
It’s events like this that make me grateful to live in St. Pete.
I don’t really care that this is a misquote of Ghandi. When you read the actual quote in the link, I feel this holds true to the gist of what he did say.
If he didn’t say it, we could remove Ghandi’s name from the meme, and it is still a beautiful idea.

When I was a kid, we looked forward to getting snow days in northwest Ohio. The roads would be too bad for the buses to run.
